As a parent, it's always a challenge to balance nutrition and taste in your little one's diet, especially on days when they have a sensitive tummy. Today, I crafted a bento box that's not only tummy-friendly but also packed with nutrients to give my toddler the energy she needs.
Sooji Vegetable Balls: The star of today's bento box are these homemade sooji vegetable balls. Sooji, or semolina, is finely ground and easy on the stomach, making it a perfect base. I mixed in a blend of gentle, easily digestible vegetables to add both flavor and nutrition without overwhelming her tummy.
Pomegranate Seeds: For a sweet and hydrating touch, I included fresh pomegranate seeds. These little jewels are not just visually appealing for kids, but they're also a powerhouse of vitamins and hydration, which is especially important for days when your toddler is feeling under the weather.
Makhanas (Fox Nuts): To round off the meal, I tossed in a handful of Makhanas. If you haven't tried these yet, you're missing out! Makhanas, or fox nuts, are a superfood in the truest sense. Light, yet filling, they offer a great source of nutrition without being hard on the stomach.
This bento box is a testament to how simple ingredients, thoughtfully prepared, can create a meal that's both soothing for the stomach and nourishing for the body. It's a gentle, tasty way to ensure your toddler gets the nutrients they need, even on their fussiest days.
Remember, feeding toddlers is all about balance and listening to their needs. Today, it was all about gentle, nutritious foods. Tomorrow, who knows? That's the adventure of parenting!
